The SteelSeries prime gaming mouse is the best lightweight gaming mouse that is recently gaining popularity. Steelseries is developing all-new prime gaming mice at the most affordable price, and this is one of them. The SteelSeries prime gaming mouse offers excellent performance and is backed by great software. This is the smooth, lightweight gaming mouse that I bought a few months back. Today here I come to give a full review on the steel series prime gaming mouse.
The positive points of the SteelSeries Prime gaming mouse
- Great performance useful software
- Lightweight design
The Negative points of the SteelSeries Prime gaming mouse
- A little bit pricy
- It doesn’t have so many buttons
- Don’t have an on-the-fly DPI button
Steel series gaming mouselook:
I have reviewed the Steelseries prime + as well as SteelSeries prime wireless, and there is not much difference. All the gaming mouse of SteelSeries comes in a discrete black shell that is accented by the gray-colored SteelSeries logo. This gaming mouse includes an RGB-lit scroll wheel with a flashy aspect look. It comes in the market with the size of 4.9 x 2.7 x 1.7 inches and weighs 2.4 ounces that are the lightest among all others gaming mice. There is no on-the-fly DPI button and two small clickers with a V-shaped design. I don’t want to rank this mouse as the best gaming mouse, but yes, it can be an ideal & solid option who wants to buy some gaming accessories from SteelSeries.
Steel series gaming mouse design:
If we talk about the left side of the gaming mouse, then it has a curve inward that has the holding space to give rest to your thumb. The small two-button panel also gives a unique and comfy feeling to the users. At the same time, the right side of the gaming mouse curves outward with the opening room for pinkie and ring finger.
Similar to SteelSeries prime+, the steel series prime is also a wired mouse that has a detachable micro USB wire. This gaming mouse has a micro USB input inside. It has the black Teflon feet and the DPI button within the underside of the mouse. The major difference between the Prime and Prime+ is that it doesn’t have a fancy OLED display with onboard controls like prime+.
SteelSeries Prime comfort
If you are talking about comfort, then Steelseries prime and prime+ both are the same. The difference between both of the gaming mouse is SteelSeries prime is 0.1 ounces lighter than the prime+. This gaming mouse is also 0.4 ounces lighter than the Prime Wireless. You can easily move the gaming mouse comfortably. You should be careful about the wire; otherwise, it is all comfortable to use.
The clickers of the gaming mouse are also sound different in each mouse of the SteelSeries. Well, the build quality of the steel series gaming mouse is the same. The clickers of the SteelSeries prime are bold. Sometimes I feel the thumb rest is quite roomy and stiff as compared to prime wireless and prime+. The wheel of the mouse is also smooth, but it looks cheap.
SteelSeries Prime gaming mouse performance
The performance of SteelSeries gaming mouse prime is simple and easy to use. I played Resident Evil village from this and did so many perfect shots to attack the zombies. I also played Valheim and am happy to share that the gaming mouse is completely amazing. Let me experience the most painful way to use a bow and arrow in a video game. The mouse I have tested so many other games too with this, like Tabletop Simulator. The mouse is super comfortable to use for a long time. With this, you will receive complete control while creating encounters

Overall it comes to the market with a fairly plain design, solid, matte black plastic body. However, It has two side buttons one is on the left, and the logo is on the palm area. In addition, It has a rubberized scroll wheel with a single RGB lightning zone. This is perfectly suited with all hand sizes and grip types.
